Maltaforum, Forum for justice and cooperation

The Third World Group (TWG), Koperattiva Kummerc Gust (KKG), Inizjamed and Koperazzjoni Internazzjonali – Malta (Kopin) agree to set up the Forum for Justice and Cooperation to work together towards the elimination of poverty and injustice in their various forms.

As full members of the Forum the three member organisations endeavour to:

The full members of the Forum commit themselves to prioritise the needs of the other Forum members whenever opportunities arise. The leader and another person of each of the three full members of the Forum meet a minimum of three times a year to realize the aims of the Forum Other organizations can join the Forum as Full members only if the three Full members agree unanimously. The Full Forum members can also accept other organisations as Affiliate members if they agree unanimously. Affiliate members of the Forum seek common paths for cooperation.

Inizjamed
Inizjamed is a voluntary non-governmental cultural organization founded in 1998 in Malta that is committed towards the regeneration of culture and artistic expression in the Maltese Islands and actively promotes a greater awareness of the cultures of the Mediterranean. Inizjamed is a secular, non-partisan organization that acknowledges that every generation must seek to create its own language and both respond to realities of its day and look beyond them. Inizjamed is a project-based organization whose lean internal structure reflects its emphasis on concrete action and fruitful collaboration with all those with whom it shares common goals. Inizjamed believes that cooperation and partnership are far more effective in the longterm than competition.
Kopin, Kooperazjoni Internazzjonali
Kopin (Koperazzjoni Internazzjonali) is a voluntary organization based in Malta which works in the field of North-South cooperation. Kopin was launched in public during a seminar on "The Policies of the European Union with regards to North South Cooperation" held on 24 June, 2000. Although Kopin is not bound to any other organization it has good relations with a number of Maltese and foreign organizations. Kopin is a member of the Forum for Justice and Cooperation together with the Third World Group, Koperattiva Kummerc Gust (Fair Trade Cooperative) and Inizjamed.
KKG, Koperattiva Kummerc Gust
Koperattiva Kummerc Gust is a Maltese-registered Fair Trade Cooperative, set up in 1996. Since then it has been constantly active in the promotion of fair values in trade through regular outreach programs in the form of formal, non formal and informal learning processes. This works aims and achieves the empowerment of the Cooperatives members, its associates and partners, members of the civil society and the general public, who are educated in becoming more active, socially responsible and critical citizens and consumers.
Grupp ghat-Tielet Dinja, Third World Group
The Third World Group is a national voluntary non-governmental and not for profit organization based in Malta that is committed towards Third World issues and people who live in "depressed" areas in Malta and abroad. Ever since its birth in 1974, members of the Third World Group have done voluntary work as a group in many parts of Sicily and mainland Italy, in Tunisia, Egypt, London and recently Ethiopia, collaborating with the Missionaries of Charity (founded by Mother Teresa) and a host of other organizations.
